The Story Behind HOOD AFFAIRS
Before the algorithm, before streaming, before the feed — there was Hood Affairs.
Founded by Dre Most, Hood Affairs DVD became one of the most respected street DVD magazines in hip-hop. From Queens to Atlanta and everywhere in between, Dre captured the culture as it happened — exclusive interviews, freestyles, behind-the-scenes footage, and raw moments with artists like Gucci Mane, Ludacris, Field Mob, Waka Flocka, Rich Homie Quan, and countless others who shaped the sound of a generation.
Hood Affairs wasn’t just a DVD series. It was a movement — a front-row seat to hip-hop’s most pivotal era, documented by someone who lived it.
In 2022, Dre Most was tragically killed at a video shoot in Queens. But the work he left behind is irreplaceable — hundreds of hours of footage, dozens of volumes, a complete record of an era that shaped modern hip-hop.
This archive exists to preserve that legacy. To make sure Dre’s work — and the culture he documented — is never lost.
They built the lab. We built the museum.”
